 15,000

Is a comprehensive study by renowned archaeologist Dr. Mohammad Rafique Mughal, published by the Endowment Fund Trust (EFT) for the Preservation of the Heritage of Sindh. The book delves into the rich archaeological and cultural heritage of Banbhore, a significant site in Sindh, Pakistan, believed by some scholars to be the historical port city of Debal.
Dr. Mughal’s meticulous research brings Banbhore to life as a key trading and cultural hub that once connected Sindh to the Islamic world, the Far East, and beyond. The discoveries of Arab-Sasanian and Arab-Byzantine coins, inscriptions, and architectural remains reveal a history of cultural exchange and economic vitality that resonates even today.
The book is divided into sections that categorize the antiquities excavated from Banbhore, including items made of bronze, copper, iron, and other materials. This detailed classification provides valuable insights into the technological and artistic advancements of the region’s past inhabitants.
